What is Iron Removal Plant?
Iron Removal Plant is a process that requires limited pressure drop so that filters can reduce pressure drop with a minimum amount of pressure drop.
In most Iron Removal Filter, the iron is oxidized during the process of converting it from a ferrous state (dissolved or soluble) to a ferric state (undissolved). During the conversion into the ferric state, iron precipitates on the filter bed.
For low iron content in the feed water, the filter consists of Manganese, where iron is oxidized to insoluble hydrated oxides that can be removed mechanically.
